A Magical 9 Months

Genevieve has now been Earth-side as long as she was growing inside of me. I can't believe she's so old. I also can't believe I was pregnant this long!
She weighs 17 pounds 8 ounces (little thing - 37th percentile)
And she is 28.5 inches long (tall thing - 80th percentile)

Highlights from this last month:
-Genevieve and I started attending a weekly moms group, which has been so wonderful. I love the community and being able to meet with so many wonderful moms.
-I attended my final birth required for my doula certification and my career has taken a different path as I pursue childbirth 'full-time'.
-Swimming, swimming, swimming! I am so happy we got a little pool. It has been so much fun to watch Genevieve splash in the water.
-We spent many summer nights picking blackberries in the park and eating dinner on the deck.

Genevieve's Milestones:
-makes a duck, pouty face
-can sign 'more' when we are giving her food
-LOVES applesauce, chicken, yogurt, and squash
-giggles every time I pull her up to walk. She is getting great at walking with my assistance.
-still has no desire whatsoever to crawl. It's a mixed bag - I am thrilled that she is still not mobile but I am ready for her to hit that milestone. I am learning to let her do things at her own pace and to not push her too much.

My sweet Genevieve,
Every day brings a deeper level of connection between the two of us. I just simply love you. A lot. So much that my heart hurts when I look at you. I look at your dad every day during breakfast and gush about how beautiful and perfect you are. We just can't get enough of you. I have loved transitioning to being a work-at-home mom. We are getting into a great groove and our rhythms and routines bring both of us so much joy. You love music time, dancing, story time, swimming, meals, and bath time. You give biggest "cheese" smiles to anyone that glances your way. You've made me such a happy and proud mother. I am in awe that you are almost a toddler but I am embracing each moment and getting so excited for the adventures ahead. You have two parents that are totally smitten by you. Thank you, my darling, for making the process of raising you such a joy!
